February, the Month of Romance

It’s officially February, and for some that means one thing, Valentines Day is right around the corner! For those of you visiting our islands and looking for something special to do with your significant other, I’ve put together some of my personal favorite things that I enjoy on each island that you may want to consider:

4. Hike Diamondhead – Dinner at Hoku's, Kahala Hotel & Resort

Oahu being Hawaii’s most popular island, there is definitely no shortage of things to do. With how favored it is among tourists you may think it to be a little unoriginal but in my opinion hiking up Diamondhead is one of the best activities the island has to offer. The trail is short and sweet, and the view from the lookout never disappoints (you get in a little cardio too which is always a good thing!) 😊

After a day in the sun one of the best restaurants on that side of the island would be Hoku’s at The Kahala Hotel & Resort. Hoku’s has an incredibly romantic atmosphere and is some of the best luxury dining you’ll find for a perfect Valentines Day.

3. Visit Volcano Park – Dinner at Brown’s Beach House, Waimea

The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is the most popular attraction in Hawaii. You could easily spend the entire day exploring the park grounds, hiking trails along lava flows and taking in all the gorgeous scenery the biggest island of Hawaii has to offer!

Recently named “The Most Romantic Restaurant” in the entire state of Hawaii by Delish.com, Brown’s Beach House Restaurant is known for their fresh farm-to-table delicious Hawaiian cuisine and tranquil, peaceful setting.

2. Road to Hana – Dinner at Longhi’s in the Old Lahaina Center

The Hana Highway is a 64 mile long stretch of road and is ranked 17th on TripAdvisor out of almost 400 attractions on the island. This journey takes you past lush, green cliffs and valleys with stunning waterfalls. For first timers to Maui this is a definite must do with your partner!

After the long drive a quaint little restaurant that I love would be the original Longhis on Front Street in the historic town of Lahaina. You’ll enjoy dining beachfront overlooking the peaceful ocean and taking in some of the most spectacular sunsets!

1. Golf at Poipu Bay – Dinner at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa

Finally, my most favorite thing to do in the world, golf! (Surprise, right?) Poipu Bay is arguably the most popular course on the island on Kauai. It hosted the PGA Grand Slam Championship Tournament for over a decade and the signature holes rest on a rolling plateau eight stories above the Pacific Ocean! Need I say more?

Afterwards, right next door is one of the most immaculate and beautiful hotels on the Garden Isle, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa. They obviously have many restaurants to choose from, but I love the ambiance of Tidepools. You can’t beat the fresh seafood they bring in each day and the amazingly romantic setting.

I hope this helps those of you still searching for ideas on what to do for your special day. I'd make your reservations soon though, as Valentines Day is fast approaching!
