Pukalani Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course located in Pukalani, in the beautiful Upcountry region of Maui, Hawaii. Designed by golf course architect Bob Baldock, the course opened in 1980 and measures 6,882 yards from the championship tees.
Nestled approximately 1,100 feet above sea level on the slopes of Haleakala, Pukalani Country Club offers a distinctive golf experience with cooler temperatures and sweeping views across Maui's central valley toward the Pacific Ocean.
The Hawaiian word Pukalani means "Entrance to Heaven," an appropriate description for this beautiful golf setting overlooking Maui.
Spread across nearly 160 acres, the course features wide rolling fairways, gently sloping hills, strategically placed bunkers, challenging greens, and natural elevation changes.
Golfers will also encounter Maui's famous trade winds, which can add an interesting challenge to club selection and course management.
One of Pukalani's most remarkable features is its unusual 18-hole layout with 19 greens.
The signature par-3 third hole gives golfers a choice of two completely different greens. One requires an iron shot across a ravine, often against the wind, while the alternative green sits dramatically below the teeing area, protected by bunkers.
