Big news for golf in Hawaii! One of the LPGA Tour's most established tournaments is heading to one of the most recognizable golf courses in the Pacific.
On October 5, 2026, the LPGA announced that the 2027 LOTTE Championship will move to The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort on Maui. Tournament competition is scheduled for March 18–21, 2027, bringing the world's top women golfers to a course famous for its sweeping ocean views, dramatic elevation changes and championship history.
The move is part of an exciting new two-week Hawaii swing that will also feature the inaugural Nanea Cup on the Big Island.
LOTTE Championship 2027: A New Home at Kapalua
The LOTTE Championship has been part of Hawaii's professional golf calendar since 2012. The tournament began at Ko Olina Golf Club on Oahu before moving to Hoakalei Country Club in 2022.
In 2027, the tournament heads to Maui for the first time, with a $3 million prize purse and a spectacular new venue.
The Plantation Course at Kapalua is widely known for hosting the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions, most recently called The Sentry. Its wide fairways, significant elevation changes and panoramic Pacific Ocean views make it one of Hawaii's most recognizable championship courses.
Now the LPGA's leading players will have their opportunity to compete on this famous layout.
Two LPGA Tournaments Coming to Hawaii in March 2027
Golf fans will have two consecutive weeks of professional women's golf to look forward to:
- March 11–14, 2027 — Nanea Cup: Nanea Golf Club, Kailua-Kona, Big Island. A new LPGA event featuring professional and collegiate golfers.
- March 18–21, 2027 — LOTTE Championship: The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort, Maui. The tournament's official event week runs March 15–21.
These two events will showcase two very different Hawaii golf settings, from the volcanic landscape of the Big Island to the dramatic coastline of West Maui.
